Bausch + Lomb is one of the best-known and most respected healthcare companies in the world. Offering the world’s most comprehensive portfolio of eye health products, the company’s core businesses include contact lenses and lens care products, ophthalmic surgical devices and instruments, and ophthalmic pharmaceuticals. We began in 1853 in Rochester, New York, and our history of innovation continues today as we invent new materials, engineer new technologies, and create pioneering ways to help people see better to live better. This year, in support of our sustainable business policy, Bausch + Lomb Tampa committed to offsetting 25% of its total electricity usage with third-party certified power. The facility is helping to fund wind power by purchasing renewable energy credits. Each kilowatt-hour of wind energy avoids approximately 1.4 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2). In 2012, the Tampa facility expects to avoid more than 6 million pounds of CO2 emissions.
