The facility is helping to fund wind power by purchasing renewable energy credits. Each kilowatt-hour of wind energy avoids approximately 1.4 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2). In 2012, the Tampa facility expects to avoid more than 6 million pounds of CO2 emissions. | |
