| Partner Profile In August of 2009 Rochester City Council passed a Resolution in Support of Environmental and Climate Protection Actions. The resolution acknowledges the many climate protection actions the city has already undertaken and paves the way for additional efforts that will position Rochester as a livable, green city. The City of Rochester is committed to increasing its use of renewable energy sources to provide power to city facilities. The city currently supports the use of renewable energy through the purchase of 25 percent green energy from its electricity supplier as well as the installation of solar photovoltaic energy systems on city facilities, including a 44 kilowatt (kW) system at the Arnett Branch Library and a 15 kW system at the Rochester Public Market. | |
