| Partner Profile The City of Stoughton, Wisconsin was incorporated in 1856 and has a population of 13,000. Stoughton is purchasing green power for its city-owned facilities' electric needs totaling more than 1.3 million kilowatt-hours annually. Stoughton is a forward-thinking and energy-conscious community striving to lead by example in the area of renewable energy. Following the leadership provided by the City, Stoughton's residential and commercial electricity customers actively pursue green power purchases. The City-owned Stoughton Utilities uses a neighborhood electric vehicle and a plug-in hybrid car, as well as hybrid bucket trucks, features a photovoltaic solar panel array at it's administration building, and has implemented energy efficiency projects at the wastewater treatment plant. | |
