The company is committed to 100 percent green power for its entire U.S. operations, which includes data centers in Phoenix, the headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas and four points of presence across the United States. Overall, this equates to more than 10 million kilowatt-hours of renewable wind energy per year. Power supplies in the Codero data center have been updated with the purchase of 80 Plus certified power supplies and have reduced energy consumption by 25-30 percent. In addition, Codero adheres to a company-wide waste reduction plan, including responsible electronic recycling, and the Plant-a-Tree program which encourages new customers to help with reforestation. Finally, Codero green objectives extend to Cloud hosting which will be launched in 2011. Cloud features a better utilization of server resources, more efficient power consumption, and less overall waste of energy. Codero's decision to switch to green power was driven by its customers and partners who strive for socially responsible lifestyles and care enough to offer their customers value beyond their products. | |
