| Partner Profile Coffee Bean International measures their carbon emissions in three scopes and are committed to take action to reduce them: 1) direct on-site emissions; 2) indirect emissions from their facility's activity; and 3) indirect emissions from commuting and suppliers. Their two regenerative thermal oxidizers have dramatically reduced natural gas usage and offer superior heat recovery characteristics. They continue to reduce their natural gas, electricity, and water usage per coffee pound. Where they cannot reduce energy usage, they purchase renewable energy. On an ongoing basis, they work with their supplier partners to reduce their impact by innovating in the materials and methods they use. | |
