| Partner Profile Fetzer Vineyards, a Green Power Leadership Award winner, was a founding member of the Green Power Partnership. In 1999, Fetzer installed a 40 kW photovoltaic (solar) array on-site at one of its facilities. In 2006, Fetzer installed a 899 kW solar photovoltaic array on top of the Production facility and Barrel Room. This array consists of 4,300 panels, is about 75,000 square feet, and has a potential capacity to generate approximately 1.1 million kWh per year. It was installed as a power purchase agreement with MMA Renewable Ventures. In 2009, Fetzer purchased 100 percent green power for its operational facility’s electrical demand. Fetzer implements many other energy saving practices including: lower energy use lighting upgrades, operational considerations of peak demand loads (May 1 - August 31), participation in a demand response program, and metrics tracking. | |
