Freescale strives to reduce the environmental impacts associated with the manufacture of our products as well as benefit from the use of green power and support the development of new, renewable energy in the United States.
Each year, the Freescale Austin campuses purchase more than 12 million kilowatt-hours of energy derived primarily from wind. This purchase represents more than 3 percent of its annual electricity usage in Austin and is a big step in our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and support green power initiatives in the Austin area.
