| Partner Profile Harbec Plastics, Inc. was formed in 1977 by toolmaker Bob Bechtold and has grown to become a full-service supplier of plastic injection molded parts to many Fortune 500 customers. The company purchases wind renewable energy certificates and also operates an on site wind turbine. In addition to using renewable energy, Harbec established an employee benefit that offers its employees a fifty percent subsidy for buying utility-supplied green power at their residences. About thirty percent of all employees are participating. Harbec is currently planning to add its second wind turbine in spring of 2012. It will be a 900 kW machine. | |
