| Partner Profile Lundberg Family Farms (LFF) is a family-owned and operated farm committed to growing and producing organic rice and rice products in the Sacramento Valley of Northern California. Lundberg's eco-positive farming ethic has guided its soil enrichment, water management, and wetlands preservation initiatives, and made renewable energy a natural fit for the company. LFF's purchase of approximately 4,500,000 kWh per year of California wind-derived renewable energy certificates is enough to cover the electricity needs for its entire operations. In addition, LFF has three solar panel arrays on site to help generate approximately 18 percent of total electricity needs for production and there are plans to increase this to four arrays with the final construction of the new Administration building opening in mid-August 2011. LFF's REC purchasing and solar production represents the largest U.S. renewable energy commitment by an agribusiness. | |
