| Partner Profile Lundberg Family Farms (LFF) is a family-owned and operated farm committed to growing and producing organic rice and rice products in the Sacramento Valley of Northern California. Lundberg's eco-positive farming ethic has guided its soil enrichment, water management, and wetlands preservation initiatives, and made renewable energy a natural fit for the company. LFF's annual purchase of California wind-derived renewable energy certificates (RECs) is enough to cover the electricity needs for its entire operations. In addition, LFF has three solar panel arrays onsite to help generate approximately 17 percent of total electricity needs for production and there are plans to increase this number of arrays in the future. LFF's REC purchasing and solar production represents one of the largest U.S. renewable energy commitments by an agribusiness. LFF is continuously exploring options to increase renewable energy generation onsite. | |
