Partner Profile NatureWorks LLC produces low carbon footprint polymers derived from 100 percent annually renewable resources that are competitive with the cost and performance of petroleum-based packaging materials and fibers. NatureWorks purchases wind renewable energy certificates equal to 100 percent of the electricity used in the manufacturing process of all of its proprietary polyactide biopolymer. This commitment includes both the direct electrical usage and the electricity used in producing and supplying raw materials at the company’s Blair, Nebraska, facility.
