Since its founding in 1985, Quick Messenger Service of D.C. has made over 5 million deliveries without using a drop of fossil fuel or creating any pollution beyond carbon dioxide. That’s because QMS primarily uses bicycles and cargo bikes to make the vast majority of its downtown, Capitol Hill, and Georgetown deliveries. To further reduce its carbon footprint, QMS is currently purchasing a portion of the electricity it uses in its corporate office from a wind energy provider.
