| Partner Profile Quinnipiac University, located in Hamden, Connecticut, is comprised of three campuses with over 7,500 students. In 2011, Quinnipiac began purchasing 100 percent of its electricity from renewable resources. The University is engaged in a far-reaching campaign to go green, with initiatives to engage its stakeholders with events like the Bobcat bulb swap, Residence Hall electricity reduction challenge (students can check their electricity use on a public dashboard – the site also offers energy saving tips). Quinnipiac also has solar trash cans, hydration stations, participates in arbor day all designed to raise the consciousness of our community. Quinnipiac currently makes use of geothermal, wind, and solar technologies as well. | |
