In 2002, the U.S. EPA awarded Shaklee its Climate Protection Award to recognize Shaklee's exceptional leadership, outstanding innovation, personal dedication, and technical achievements in climate protection. Shaklee was a Charter Partner of the U.S. EPA Climate Leaders program and has pledged to maintain net zero greenhouse gas emissions. In 2007, Shaklee provided funds to Millennium Promise and partnered with Columbia University to facilitate the installation of solar powered lighting in Malawi. In 2007, Shaklee became the first consumer products company to offset 100 percent of its greenhouse gas emissions through the EPA Climate Leaders program. In 2007, Shaklee received the Organizational Design Award for its outstanding leadership in effecting positive environmental change.
