| Partner Profile The Athenian School is a college preparatory boarding and day school located on a 75-acre campus at the foot of Mt. Diablo in Danville, California. The School provides more than 70% of its energy needs through solar power. Environmental stewardship has been a core value of The Athenian School since it was founded in 1965. It makes business sense and provides substantial long term savings through using solar energy, reducing landfill waste, increasing recycling efforts, and reducing natural gas use for hot water and heating. “It is a compelling narrative for the School to become greener,” said Bob Oxenburgh, Director of Finance and Facilities.
