Partner Profile The Monarch School is a national leader in special education programs for children with neurological differences. The school purchases enough green power to cover all of their energy needs. The school purchases green power in order to help improve statewide air quality for kids health. Monarch's environmentally cutting-edge, 100 percent green powered new Chrysalis building became the highest rated LEED Gold certified K-12 school in Texas and the first LEED Gold certified and 'Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR' certified special education school in the United States. Over the years the school has learned that green power is affordable and is a vital step to complete and complement other sustainability initiatives, like energy efficiency, green building, and more.
