| Partner Profile Woodstock currently purchases 100 percent renewable energy through its participation in the CT Clean Energy Communities Program. Woodstock is the only town in the state who currently purchases 100 percent clean, renewable energy. The town's renewable energy certificate (REC) purchase began in 2010 is a five year agreement for wind and hydro. Woodstock also has two 9kW solar installations at all municiple facilities, a 9kW installation at a fire station, a 9kW installation at their elementary school and a 4kW installation at their middle school. Woodstock has been extremely proactive in renewable energy and has influenced many local residents in purchasing private installations. | |
