| Partner Profile The University of Iowa is using biomass (oat hulls) to displace coal in one of its two solid fuel boilers. The Main Power Plant cogenerated nearly nine million kWh of electricity from steam produced with biomass, which represents over three percent of the electric power consumption on campus in 2010. | |
