| Partner Profile Whatcom County is the main government entity servicing the over 200,000 citizens of an area which encompasses 2,200 square miles. Whatcom County has been purchasing Green Power since 2006, and has been designated as an EPA Green Power Partnership Leadership member since that date. By purchasing green electricity equal to 100 percent of its usage, Whatcom is supporting the goals of its Climate Protection and Energy Conservation Action Plan, and effectively reducing the greenhouse gas emissions from its operations by 1/3 in one action. | |
