Yala, home of DreamSacks, provides nurturing and comfy bedding and clothing from natural fibers. The company began by using silk and has expanded to include cashmere, organic cotton, and bamboo. As a way to further Yala's committment to sustainable products and practices, the company decided that its work environment should also reflect that commitment. To help achieve this goal, Yala purchases wind- and solar-generated renewable energy certificates. In 2008, DreamSacks now Yala, purchased an all-electric truck to further cut down its carbon footprint. "Through our participation in the Green Power Partnership, we have opened a dialogue with other organizations that promote green businesses. It is also a step that has brought our business practice closer in line with our values," says Nancy Morgan, President.
