Jane N. Saginaw
Biography

President Clinton today named Jane N. Saginaw as Regional Administrator for EPA's Region 6 office, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. In this position, she will direct federal environmental programs in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
Saginaw comes to EPA with 12 years experience at the law firm of Baron & Budd of Dallas, where she was a partner. She specialized in litigation and appellate practice in the field of chemical and environmental injury and had been with the firm since 1981.
EPA Administrator Carol Browner said, "As regional administrator, Jane Saginaw will be a tremendous asset to the Region 6 office. She is well qualified for this position and I look forward to working with her."
The appointee is a 1980 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, School of Law. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Saginaw also worked as a trial attorney for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from 1980-1981 in the Hydroelectric Branch and the Pipeline Certification and Curtainment Branch.
Joe D. Winkle has been acting as the Regional Administrator since Jan. 20, 1993.
