National Public Lands Day Exit EPA Disclaimer - September 30, 2006, held on the last Saturday in September, is designed to improve the public lands that we enjoy for recreation, education, and relaxation. There is information just for Girl Scouts interested in getting involved with projects on that day. Contact Monika Gorzelanska at gorzelanska@neetf.org or 202-261-6461. World Water Monitoring Day Exit EPA Disclaimer, held annually on October 18th, is designed to educate people of all ages, in all nations, about the value of clean water and the role of water quality monitoring.
