- Chautauqua County Landfill, a county government owned facility, is located in western New York and provides waste disposal services to Chautauqua and its surrounding counties. As of February 12, 2010, the Chautauqua County LFG energy plant produces 6.4 MW of electricity, which is transmitted into the open grid market. The county financed and developed the LFG energy project.
