- CIFAL Atlanta is the North American training arm of the United Nations Institute for Training & Research (UNITAR). Its mission is to provide a platform for local government officials and civil society leaders to share best practices in support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. CIFAL Atlanta organizes annual forums for local government officials to learn best practices in solid waste management and landfill gas energy projects.
