Description: Cornerstone Chemical Company expertly converts energy into industrial chemicals on a large scale. Their focus on innovation enables the company to manufacture and sell products safely and efficiently while minimizing their environmental footprint. Cornerstone is a world-scale operation located just outside of New Orleans, LA. The site employs approximately 440 persons who support 6 operating units, and has a long, proven tradition of excellence. Cornerstone, an end user of LFG, manufactures high-quality products shipped around the globe: acrylonitrile, melamine, and sulfuric acid/oleum. The LFG, piped from the nearby Jefferson Parish Sanitary Landfill, is used as an energy source in the Sulfuric Acid Regeneration and the Acrylonitrile Off Gas Incinerator units.
