Description: DTE Biomass Energy builds and operates facilities that convert LFG or methane, emitted from decomposing landfill refuse, into beneficial energy like electricity, steam and pipeline quality gas. DTE Biomass operates 29 landfill sites in the United States, recovering and preventing the escape of more than 75 million cubic feet of LFG per day into the atmosphere. DTE Biomass was established in 1993 and is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
