- Gundersen Lutheran Health Care Systems is committed to environmental stewardship through energy conservation and renewable energy projects as part of its Envision program. The goal is energy independence. A wholly-owned subsidiary, GL Biogas I LLC, operates an LFG genset in cooperation with the La Crosse County Solid Waste Department. This facility offsets the entire energy needs of their Onalaska Medical Campus.
