- Description
- The Kansas Department of Health and Environment's vision is "healthy Kansans living in safe and sustainable environments". Kansas is interested in actively decreasing greenhouse gases. Presently, the state has LFG energy projects of various types at four landfill sites and also 30 landfills that can be considered either candidates or potential targets for energy projects. Much could still be done in the state to improve the environment. The department would like to encourage the development of cost-effective LFG energy projects in Kansas.
