- The Workhouse Arts Center, a project of the Lorton Arts Foundation, is located on the site of a former prison in southern Fairfax County, Virginia. They are currently in the discussion and development stage with Fairfax County, I-95 Landfill and others to develop a direct use of methane (LFG) project to fuel their kilns and furnaces for the ceramics and glass programs at the Workhouse Arts Center.
