- Project includes collection of gas from a closed landfill (Cells A-K) and an active landfill (Cells 7B & 8). The collection system is owned and operated by a developer, DTE Biomass Energy, Inc., which in turn, sells gas to a nearby coal-fired electrical generating utility, Orlando Utilities Commission. Landfill gas is also collected from the Class III landfill and about 20 acres of the Pre-85 landfill and flared.
