- Ridgely Hummingbird Farm, Inc. is a hydroponic tomato farm that uses propane and oil to heat their greenhouses. They have had an energy audit done through the EQIP program and are working on the recommendations made by energy auditor EnSave. When the new Midshore II Regional Landfill was being sited near their farm, the methane gas project proposal became a feasible project to pursue to create further fossil fuel energy conservation. They are currently working on a Conservation Innovation Grant with Natural Resources Conservation Service and have had their pre-proposal accepted.
