- Description
- Smiths Creek Landfill is a medium-sized landfill, owned by St. Clair County, MI. The County partnered with DTE Biomass Energy, LLC to install and operate a 3.2-MW electric generation facility utilizing LFG from the landfill. The facility, operating under the name of Blue Water Renewables, Inc. became operational in November 2011.
