Description: Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is an independent, nonprofit, applied research and development organization. Through 11 technical divisions, the staff of more than 3,300 specializes in the creation and transfer of technology in engineering and the physical sciences, and offers multidisciplinary, problem-solving services to government and industrial clients. SwRI has a number of externally and internally funded programs in the areas of alternative energy supply and utilization, management of greenhouse gas sources, and environmental management in general.
