Description: SWPS GIPO plants coupled with landfill methane capture provide electrical power and heat generation while providing an economical means of waste destruction. The GIPO plants open up additional revenue streams to the landfill owner, electricity, medical waste, and sewage processing, renewable energy credits, and carbon credits. The local municipalities and states benefit through reduced infrastructure costs, while the citizens benefit from stable energy and waste handling costs. Lastly, the distributed generation removes local base-loading from the national power grid, allowing for more development without further taxing the power grid.
