Title: Research Microbiologist

EPA Division: Microbiological and Chemical Exposure Assessment Research Division

EPA Branch: Biohazard Assessment Research Branch

My research interest has been on the detection and disinfecton of waterborne parasites such as as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. A primary focus has been on parasite detection methods development, improvement, and evaluation. In addition, evaluating disinfection of cysts and oocysts by chemical and physical disinfects. Future research goals include characterizing dectected parasites for infectivity and species by molecular and other methods.
