ToxCast™ Chemicals
ToxCast™ Phases I and II are testing a combined total of 960 unique chemicals (16 chemicals were dropped from the original Phase I list due to solubility and stability problems). Chemical nominations came from within EPA, from other U.S. agencies (NTP, NIEHS, FDA), from international organizations such as OECD and from other stakeholder groups. There are 293 unique chemicals in ToxCast PhaseI_v2 and the total test set is 311 compounds with replicates. There are 676 unique chemicals in ToxCast™ Phase II and the total test set is 700 compounds with replicates. The total number of unique chemicals in the full ToxCast™ set (PhaseI_v2 and PhaseII) is 960 and the total test set is 1011 with replicates.
