| Purpose: | The Air Quality III Conference comprises two streams of discussion:
one focused on mercury and the other on trace elements and
particulate matter. This conference will again provide an
opportunity for leading representatives from many fields to
take part in in-depth discussion of the issues involving air
emissions. This year, the conference will feature expanded
coverage of control methods, including advanced research and
development, as well as field applications, and new sessions
on mercury management from by-products and advanced power
systems.
As EPA moves forward on several initiatives to improve air quality, the Air Quality III Conference is a timely opportunity for industry, government, and the research community to discuss the challenges of economic energy production coupled with environmental awareness.
