| Purpose: | EPA's Science to Achieve Results (STAR) Human Health Research Program
will showcase its extramural research through a Human Health Symposium
- a STAR Progress Review Workshop on April 9-10, 2003 in Washington,
DC.
The Workshop will bring together scientists supported by the Office of Research and Development's STAR grants program with other human health scientists creating a platform to share information and exchange ideas. Additionally, the review will create an opportunity for EPA's scientists to become familiar with the research funded through the STAR program, and make important contacts with other scientists in the human health community. The Symposium will consist of a series of sessions where university scientists funded by STAR will present a summary of their research activities. Topic areas include Exposure Assessment; Toxicology; Epidemiology; Biomarkers; Children's Health; Statistics; and Environmental Justice. The Symposium will be open to EPA staff, scientists from other federal agencies and the public who are interested in this research. Please mark your calendars for an exciting workshop. |
