| Purpose: | NCER is coordinating a workshop to discuss the research being
conducted by the USEPA on microorganisms in drinking water. "The
U.S. EPA's Research on Microorganisms and Drinking Water" workshop
will be held in Cincinnati, OH on August 5-7, 2003, in Cincinnati,
Ohio. Presentations will be made by scientists from various EPA
programs including the Office of Research and Development (ORD),
NCER's Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grant program, the Office
of Water, and regional offices. The workshop will consist of a
series of plenary sessions where ORD researchers and STAR grantees
will present summaries of their research activities. There will
also be a poster session to allow greater discussion in a more
informal setting. The meeting is open to all EPA staff, scientists
from federal agencies, and others who are interested in hearing
about the research EPA is doing in this exciting area.
