The value will be to determine how environmental applications and implications cross-cut research in nanotech and how agencies and researchers can better cooperate and communicate their research, and coordinate in this area.

Expected Outcome
It is expected that a broader community of researchers will be formed who consider both possible environmental applications for their work and the broader environmental implications of the production and products resulting from nanotechnology. Extended abstracts and a web summary will be published.
