Purpose: The EPA's National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) National Center for Environmental Economics (NCEE), and Region 9 are sponsoring a workshop on future environmental scenarios research supported by NCER. Topics include trends in housing and how they affect land-use and land-cover changes, economic and demographic drivers of aquaculture, and the economics of estimated increases in greenhouse gas emissions. Additional research on the consequences of global change, including climate and climate variability, land use, economic development, and technology on air quality will also be presented.
