Title: 10th Annual Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference - Designing for a Sustainable Future
Date: Monday, June 26 - Friday, June 30, 2006
Location: Capital Hilton
1001 16th St NW
Washington, DC 20036
Contact: Julie Zimmerman, (202) 343-9689 or zimmerman.julie@epa.gov
Purpose: "The future will be what we design it to be." At this conference, chemists and engineers will gather to discuss the art of design. From energy to agriculture, materials to medicine, the ability to create at the most fundamental level gives chemists and engineers the power to change whole sectors of the world economy. Will that future be sustainable? The simple answer is that it must be. In June 2006, designers of molecules, materials, products, processes, and systems will gather in Washington, DC, to make it so. The conference will offer an invaluable chance to share your knowledge with experts in green chemistry and green engineering from around the world. It will be a time to teach, learn, collaborate, inspire, and be inspired. Dr. George Gray, EPA's assistant administrator for research and development, will give the keynote address.
