NCER Launches Children's Environmental Health Website
NCER has launched a new web site to relay research results from a network of STAR centers for Children's Environmental Health and Disease Prevention Research. The centers were established to explore ways to reduce children's health risks from environmental factors. The program is jointly funded by the EPA, through the Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grants program, and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) with additional expertise and low-cost laboratory services provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Map and complete listing of center locations. The long-range goal of the program is to understand how environmental factors affect children's health and to promote translation of basic research findings into intervention and prevention methods.
