NPR Interview Reveals Concerns About New School Sites in LA
John
Froines, principal investigator from the NCER funded Southern
California PM Center, was interviewed by NPR's Mandalit
del Barco on Morning Edition about their research
findings in a broadcast about air pollution from freeways impacting
children's lungs. California lawmakers and NCER scientists agree
that locating schools near freeways is a bad idea but many of the
new schools in Los Angeles are still being built near freeways.
Audio of the interview is available from National Public Radio (NPR). ![]()
