Title: Advancing the Science & Practice of Cumulative Risk Assessment: Alignment of ORD Research & Agency Needs
Date: July 28 - 30, 2009
Location: Region 5 Chicago 12th Floor Conference Facility
Purpose: EPAs Regions and Office of Research and Development are sponsoring a workshop to consider cumulative risk assessment from the perspective of environmental health and ecological problem formulation and problem solving. Workshop sessions will present the science, tools, and approaches to cumulative risk assessment through discussion of case studies illustrating different risk management problems, including considerations of community risk, spatial scale, the lifecycle of a facility, pesticides, tribal issues, and environmental justice.

Please note that space is limited and early registration is recommended. A block of rooms has been reserved with the Hotel Blake, close to EPA Region 5, and lodging reservations should be made with the hotel no later than July 14, 2009.

This workshop is open to EPA personnel and invited speakers. The workshop will primarily be internal to EPA to enhance policy and other deliberative discussions.
