EPA's Sustainable Design Expo Demonstrates the Ingenuity of Our Next Generation of Scientists and Engineers

WASHINGTON -- This Earth Day Weekend brought the 7th Annual Sustainable Design Expo to the Washington DC Mall where 55 College teams competed for P3 2nd Phase follow-on grants to help bring their new ideas to the marketplace. AAAS joined EPA in judging this competition in this intensive three day event which has resulted in spawning numerous new small businesses as well as developing new education curricula, and technology that has assisted many developing countries.
