Nanotechnology Development and Potential Environmental Implications

Following a brief overview of the role of the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office(NNCO) in the National Nanotechnology Initiative, Dr. Teague will review the trends involved in the development of the field now known as nanotechnology, summarize his perspective on the current state of the technology and its commercialization, and describe the efforts of the NNCO and the Nanoscale Science, Engineering, and Technology Subcommittee to address – through participating Federal government agencies – potential environmental and health implications of nanotechnology.
