Title: Scrap Tire Recycling: Convincing Businesses to Integrate Inexpensive, Cutting-edge Technology to Convert Tires Into Various Construction Materials
Using scrap tires to make low-cost construction material and polymer coatings
Researchers will use two new technologies to recycle tires to create low-cost construction materials and other products such as paints with low volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The project combines a process that creates fine rubber particles at lower cost than current techniques with a modification process that enhances the properties of the particles.
