Title: Protecting Surface Water Quality Through Utilization of Industrial By-Products to Reduce Nutrient Transport in Sensitive Agriculture-Dominated Ecosystems
This P3 project is studying whether various industrial and municipal by-products can help retain phosphorus, a fertilizer that can pollute rivers and streams, in agricultural soils. The project will also devise a plan for large-scale implementation of a program to promote the use of these by-products as best management practices for minimizing phosphorus loss from agricultural lands.
