Title: Greening Standards for Green Structures: Process and Products
The goal of this project is to provide a mechanism to equip consumers with the means to encourage the homebuilding industry-designers, homebuilders, and retail suppliers-to use environmentally preferable products and processes in the design and construction of affordable homes. Researchers are producing guidance for environmentally preferable products in homebuilding industry practices; material specifications and green building techniques for various levels of sustainability; and matrices for examining the cost-benefit analysis for materials and techniques used in traditional vs. green building and design.
