Title: Design of an Anaerobic Digester and Fuel Cell System for Energy Generation from Dairy Waste
Researchers are designing, building, and testing a renewable system to generate electricity. The system uses a microbiological fuel cell to utilize dairy waste as a feedstock. Successful completion of this project will decrease farm dependence on electricity from fossil fuels, decrease the environmental impacts of farms, turn a waste stream from an economic cost into a gain, and provide benefits to the surrounding community.
